Inspections and reports

An inspection carried out by us is limited to the scope agreed in writing for that engagement, and to the relevant Australian Standard or statutory requirement where one applies. The scope, limitations and exclusions applying to a particular inspection are set out in the report itself.

Unless expressly stated otherwise in the report:

• Inspections are visual and non-invasive, and cover areas that were safe and reasonably accessible on the day
• Concealed, obstructed, locked or unsafe areas are not inspected
• No inspection is a guarantee or warranty that a property is free of defects, timber pests, or non-compliance
• A report describes the condition observed at the date and time of the inspection, and conditions can change afterwards

Where a report refers to an Australian Standard, the reference is to the current applicable version of that Standard at the date of inspection.

Reliance

Reports are prepared for the client named in the report, for the purpose stated in it. No other person may rely on a report, and we accept no responsibility or liability to any third party who obtains or relies on one.

Fees and pricing

Prices shown on this website are minimum prices and include GST unless stated otherwise. Final fees depend on the property and the scope of work, and are confirmed in writing before the inspection.
